Kill zombies with style in Bye Bye Brain Lite.

Usually tower defense games are seen from a type of overhead view. Bye Bye Brain Lite changes that with an impressive presentation of three dimensional graphics and an accelerometer-controlled camera. At the core, Bye Bye Brain Lite evolves the tower defense genre into a new direction.

Gameplay is very similar to other tower defense titles and Bye Bye Brain Lite only changes the recognizable format by only having a start point for the zombies to emerge and an end point that the player had to protect. This allows the zombies much more freedom in their movements and while they will start by just stumbling into the “towers” of the player; later waves will start to avoid and look for new routes.

Bye Bye Brain Lite uses characters for the different towers all providing different roles and are still upgradable. The starting tower is a simple melee tower that can be upgraded to a katana-wielding ninja. Other towers are police officers and housewives armed with an aerosol can and lighter.

Strangely, the new style of playing is a bit abrupt for experienced tower defense players and the realization that the accelerator changes the camera was found by accident. But Bye Bye Brain Lite has a good scaling of the difficulty so it never becomes a huge problem.

The difference in style and gameplay makes Bye Bye Brain Lite a lot more fun to play. As an evolution of the tower defense genre, Bye Bye Brain Lite is excellent.
